Banish Your Baby Buldge!

I found that the most effect way to lose all the excess pregnancy weight was to cut out, where possible:

Understandably Dairy and Wheat are from major food groups and can be perceived at difficult to cut down on, however when given the right information, it’s effortless and really effective. At first it might seem like a huge change, but once you’ve adjusted, it is really easy and works wonders. Not only can you eat proper portions and full meals but also have desserts and treats in moderation. So you’re eating tasty food instead of a couple of lettuce leaves.

By cutting dairy, wheat and alcohol out of your diet the pounds will literally fall off and you will feel full of energy and less bloated.

I completely understand cutting out alcohol is a challenge for some as, with all the stress of parenting it is one of the few ways to unwind after a fraught day. A couple of glasses of wine at the weekend shouldn’t affect the diet too much, however regular or excess drinking will.

Each week I will share delicious recipe ideas that I use and follow. The UberMummy diet is incredibly healthy and you will not only notice the difference on the scales but in your general well-being as well.

Substitution Ideas:

Since allergies are so widely on the increase, there are now an amazing amount of substations for wheat and dairy product which are widely available in all leading supermarkets.

I have tried most of the products intended as replacements for pasta, bread, milk etc and here are some ideas for some alternatives that I would highly recommend.

Pasta: Rice pasta, rice and corn pasta, buckwheat pasta (buckwheat is a grass and doesn’t contains wheat) rice noodles or millet and corn spaghetti.

Bread: There are lots of different wheat free breads available but I personally feel that English breakfast muffins, wheat free chibattas and wheat free white rolls have the most likeness and consistence to bread.

Milk: Soya milk; sweetened or unsweetened or rice milk.

Butter: Dairy free spread

Yoghurt: Dairy free yoghurt comes in five or six different fruit flavours it is extremely delicious, low in fat and a useful snack.

Cheese: Goat cheese is a great alternative however I wouldn’t recommend eating excessive quantities of any cheese when trying to lose weight as it has such a high fat content.

Chocolate: It would be unrealistic to forbid any kind of treat on a diet; however substituting dark chocolate for milk chocolate will be much better for you. The higher the percentage of coco the less sugar and calories it has in, I would recommend trying 70% coco.

**You should always consult with a doctor or health adviser when eliminating anything from your diet, especially after childbirth or when breastfeeding**
